I don't remember much about it! - O'Grady
"I went to hospital and had 14 stitches but I was only there for about an hour. I struggled to sleep on the Saturday night because I couldn't put any pressure on the cut but in the morning I felt OK. It could have been a lot worse."
"On the Monday I returned to training with a bit of non-contact stuff but right until the day before the Dagenham game I wasn't able to head the ball. I tried doing it but it was still a bit painful."
O'Grady played in the 2-0 win at Dagenham but with a huge padded bandage around his head to protect the wound, "There was a lot of padding under it and as soon as the ball hit it I couldn't feel anything, I was a bit tentative early on but after that I just got on with it."
"Looking back to the incident that caused the injury, you just can't afford to pull out of those kinds of challenges. The fans wouldn't be too pleased if I did."
Chris then gave his verdict on the performance at Dagenham, "Our defence looked really tight and, going forward, we looked like we were going to score more goals. It couldn't have been much better, We played a 4-3-3 but when you're defending it becomes a 4-5-1. When the ball went forward at times in the first half it was hard to hold the ball up. In the second half the game opened up and, being 1-0 up, we could express ourselves better and we had quite a few chances."
"As a striker, I want to score every game or at least be in positions to score, as I've said before, this is my first full season playing week in, week out. Getting into double figures is my goals target for the season."
