Despite playing the last 3 games, Jamie admits that he will be spending more time on the sidelines when first choice keeper Andy Warrington returns, but he working on his training to get back in.
"I have to just keep working harder and be ready for the next time, I try to work on every aspect of my game because there's room for improvement everywhere but I think my kicking game from back passes could be improved a little bit."
"I also think I've got to work on coming for crosses because if you come and claim the ball then it takes the pressure off the back four, but I think that is a big part of every goalkeeper's game. It's a fact that keepers are judged on their mistakes rather than what they do well." he added.
Jamie looked back at the win at Crewe where he kept a clean sheet; "As a goalkeeper it's nice when you have nothing to do because it means the lads are playing well in front of you but it's also nice to have a couple of saves to make and do your bit."
"I thought we played really well. It was our best performance in a few weeks. "After the York game, where we played really well in the first half and collapsed in the second, this time we were determined to keep it up and I thought we came out and defended really well and looked good on the counter-attack."
"I think the only thing I did wrong was when I slipped on a goalkick at the end but besides that I was pleased with how things went. The manager put me in and I don't think I let anyone down and it's a big confidence boost. I played three out of four games up to Tuesday so it was good to get a little run in the team and I felt a lot more confident for it."
"I kept a clean sheet against Lincoln in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy earlier in the season and now I've got my first league clean sheet. It's also every player's dream to play in the FA Cup and I've managed to do that too."
"I've been champing at the bit sitting on the bench all last year so it's nice to contribute."
