"I was offered a couple of years at Rotherham and a couple of years here. Shrewsbury is closer to home for starters and is a chance maybe to put some roots down somewhere nearer to home. It's just that sometimes you want to do something different. I chose to go a different way."
"I would love us to win the league and Rotherham to finish second. That's a big dream but I want to concentrate on what Shrewsbury can do. Rotherham can look after themselves and they looked a good side on Saturday." he added.
Sharps spoke about the banter between his old teammates; "I played against them in training all the time, I know them and they know me but it is strange. As I said before, it's good to get a win against your ex-team mates. A few of the lads had a few things to say on the pitch but it's water off a duck's back."
