Harrison is one of only 2 survivors from the Wembley play-off defeat against the Daggers, the other being keeper Andy Warrington, and the changes since that game mean that he isnt taking tomorrows game as a chance for revenge.
Speaking to the Advertiser, Harrison said; “I do think about the play-off final and especially with the game coming around all the memories come back, but so many things have changed. There's not going to be many of the team from the final who are going to be involved and obviously we've got a different manager. I suppose their team is going to be a lot different so in that sense there's not too many similarities."
“Obviously they had a little taste of League One and that should have been us, but I think it's more important that we focus on ourselves and what we're doing. We can't let things like revenge get into our heads."
“We know what we've got to do and obviously on the back of a defeat at Swindon last week, the best thing is to win the next game. Looking at Dagenham, they've always been a combative team. We know what they're about and we can't take anything for granted, as with every game in this league, but the last home game was probably the best we've played all season and we need to keep that going at home.”
Danny looked back at last weekends 3-2 defeat at Swindon; “Saturday was pretty much what we expected it would be, You could see the way they celebrated at the final whistle, it was like they had won the World Cup or something, not that it didn't mean a lot to us."
“It was one of the most start-stop games I've been involved in. They were getting on at the referee and there was fouls and people falling over but you have to play the occasion, if you like, and we were bitterly disappointed we went away from home and scored two goals and lost. Two headed goals against a team of our size can't happen." he said.
You look at some games going away in this league and it's not all about playing well on the ball. It's about being organised and keeping big and strong and not conceding and trying to get a clean sheet and we didn't really do that.”
He also spoke about the signing of Alex Revell who scored a brace in his debut after Adam Le Fondre moved to Reading; “A target man is something different perhaps we haven't had for a while, He can hold things up and play as well and he's a very, very good addition to the squad."
“I'm not sure whether the gaffer has been after him for a while, but he's a very shrewd signing at this time of year. He's got goals straight away so it's an excellent start for him.”
