Speaking to the PA, Watson said; "I was assistant to Mick Harford at Luton when we won the JPT and I managed the reserves and we won the league, I thoroughly enjoyed that side of the game and then the Sky job came along."
"What I have in my favour is the last two years, I have watched a hell of a lot of games at every level and I have that behind me. My experience and success I had as a player also stands me at good stead. I have been in promotion-winning dressing rooms. I have worked under a lot of experienced managers that I feel I could call on if I was ever in a first-team post."
"I have made it quite clear I would like a crack at it. I would like to put something back into the game, especially at somewhere where I have had success before." he added.
