"Before the interview I had not met Ronnie so it was a new thing for me," revealed Mr. Stewart.
"We met with eight individuals and I and the directors unanimously said that Ronnie Moore is the man for the job. As Ronnie said he put himself forward, it was competitive but he came out on top.
"It is a wonderful day for Rotherham United.
"Myself and the directors have took time to have a look and see what is available with regard the new Manager for Rotherham United. We had over 50 applicants and along with the directors we put a shortlist together and out of that list there was only one who shone.
"We welcome back Ronnie Moore to Rotherham United and I am sure that myself, the staff and the fans would like to wish Ronnie and the team all the best for the future."
