Evans addressed supporters at a packed Carlton Park last night and said he would be honest and professional about how he conducts his business.
He also told todays Advertiser: “I'll say it because we'll be showing that at least we're having a go and they can see what the management team are trying to do.
“We'll do what we did at Crawley, we'll go about our business quietly and work very closely with the guys in the media to keep the fans informed. It reminds me of some words of wisdom from Alex McLeish when he was winning titles at Rangers. I asked him how he managed with the expectation and he said 'by telling the fans what I'm trying to do.”
