Speaking to todays Advertiser, Mills gives his thoughts on the Cup run; "It's places like the Britannia Stadium that you want to be. Every player wants to play on the bigger stage against the best players and that's what I'm aspiring to do."
"I tasted that at Derby and played at the Britannia many times before. I want to get my head down and do my best and try to get back to the level where I think I should be."
"Personally, I think we matched Stoke, especially in the first half. I was disappointed because we did enough to get something out of the game but I don't think we disgraced ourselves against a Premier League team."
"As captain, I'm proud of each and every player, not just against Stoke but right through the cup run. We put a lot of hard work in. It's been an exciting journey and it's a shame it had to end. We've come out of it with a lot of positive things. We played some very good teams and beat some very good teams."
"When we had that first win at Hillsborough, we couldn't have dreamed we'd get as far as we did. The cup is about testing yourself against better teams and that's what we did. All of the ties were great. Wolves and Southampton are going to go into the memory but the penalty shoot-out win at Hillsborough was special."
"We're back to the bread and butter. It will be another tough one but we'll try and prepare right and get back to winning."
"There's a lot of games at the moment but the gaffer knows what he's doing and we'll be having ice baths and other things to keep right. Every player knows how to look after himself as well. Right now it's about keeping the momentum going and playing well." he added.
