Speaking to the Advertiser, Pablo admits that he had let himself down over pre-season; "It's well known that I came back in preseason and let my standards drop. I admit that, I was playing catch-up and that's why I went out on loan to get myself fit."
"You have experiences in your career and Crawley was one of my high points. We won quite a few matches and got up to eighth in the table. It was a very successful spell and exactly what I needed at this stage in my career." he added.
Despite the good performance in midfield, Pab's still prefers to play at the back, "I like to think of myself as a centre-half, to be honest, but if it means that I've got to go into midfield and do a job sometimes, then so be it. I've played midfield before with Walsall and MK Dons in League One, so it wasn't anything different to me." he said.
"I played centre-half at Crawley but, as I've said, if the manager wants me in the centre of the park then I'll play there. I'm just getting my head down and trying to get back to where I want to be." he added.
"There's a decent squad here. There's some hard players and nice mixture of young and old. If we all pull in the same direction then I don't see any reason why we can't bounce straight back up."
