Alfie has been the subject of a fresh bout of transfer speculation this week with Carlisle reported to be the latest admirers, but they have since confirmed they won't be making an official bid.
Scott says he is tired of managers talking about Le Fondre in the press and had a rant about the issue for the second time in the space of a week.
“I'm sick of managers who aren't managers of Adam Le Fondre talking about my player,” he told the Tiser. “There is rubbish being put in the papers about us wanting £1.5 million and turning down half a million.
“As far as I'm concerned, he's staying at this football club unless we get a bid we're happy with. I would rather people ring me and speak to me about him rather than going around the press. They either like him and want him or they don't like him and don't want him.
“If they do like him, they should talk about him in their own houses and not in the press. If you like him, make a bid, if not, shut up."
Scott added: “Greg Abbott at Carlisle is the only manager who has phoned me up and had the decency to say they are not in for him. "I don't talk about anyone else's players so I don't expect them to talk about my own.”
