Spekaing to the 'Tiser, Reid hit back, saying: "For anyone to say I'm not putting enough effort in then they don't understand the game.
"My heart is beating just as much as anyone else's in the team and I can assure you that I am just as committed as the other ten lads out there.
"All my life people have said if I was anymore laid back then I'd fall over but I can't express enough that my goals and performances mean a hell of a lot to me. I am 100% committed and when we lose no one hurts more than me and I want promotion next year."
He added: "I'm disappointed I didn't manage the 20th goal but on the other hand I'm happy. I said last summer that I would be content with 15.
"Playing wide right alot and to get the goals I have, is a good achievement."
