Speaking to the Official Site Adam said "It was a good result and put us in the top three, which was our aim at the start of the game,"
With heavy rain in the area throughout the day the pitch was far from its best
"The pitch was difficult, one side was boggy and the other seemed to be a lot firmer. The second half was ideal for us going forward but going the other way it was very difficult for us to pass the ball on."
The Millers face Luton Town in the F.A. Cup on Saturday. Rochdale having played them in the last round twice, Luton winning the replay at Spotland.
Adam himself is cup tied, but his new team mates will be hoping for any information he can pass on as to what to expect from the Hatters.
"It's hard to describe what Luton are about and how they play because I honestly thought we were the better team," Adam continued.
"Obviously Kevin Gallen up front is a threat and he'll have to be watched. He scored both when they won at Rochdale. But they are beatable, very beatable, and it'll be nice to get a cup run going."
