Speaking to the assembled media after the game, Warne said; “I didn’t think we were at our best today, for whatever reason. Our press wasn’t athletic enough and I felt like we didn’t move the ball quick enough.
“I wasn’t pleased at half time and I told the lads at half time that I didn’t think they were playing at their best.
"I thought we were pretty poor in the first half, The opposition slowed down the game and we got sucked into playing slowly as well. We had players walking to take throw-ins, which isn't really us. We didn't play with any drive.
"We weren't fortunate to go in at half-time 2-1 up because we'd had the most chances but our overall play wasn't as good as I wanted it to be.
“The lads have been excellent so far, but today was our worst performance of the season.
“I think in terms of chances, we created enough to win the game, sometimes you can play poorly and win but it wasn’t to be.
“Today, we have to give the opposition credit and move on to Tuesday.”
