Speaking to the Advertiser, local lad Ryan Taylor spoke of his move away from the Millers and looks forward to the future.
“It’ll be hard to leave but it’s a massive opportunity for me and one I couldn’t turn down, It will be difficult but as a footballer you have to be ready to move to wherever you’re playing." He told the 'Tiser
“It’s a new challenge for me but I will be leaving behind a lot of fond memories. I’ve been at Rotherham ever since I was a kid when I started in the School of Excellence. I signed as a YTS when I was 16 and over the years they’ve really looked after me."
“I’ll always remember the managers and the coaches that I’ve had who have helped me and I’ll take away a lot of memories. It’s always going to be hard to leave all of that behind but you can’t turn down opportunities like this and I’m really looking forward to playing.” he added.
“My high spots with Rotherham have got to be the two goals I scored at Wembley. That was a great day and it’s a shame that we lost but personally it was a big achievement and I’ll always have that with me."
“I’d like to thank the club and the fans for sticking by me. They’ve been great and I wish them every success in the future.”
