"It's bringing football back to Rotherham. It's about a community stadium which will be for the young and old and allow most people of Rotherham to participate in it." Tony said.
"It's about sport, it's about the opportunity and the ambition. It is about job creation, business enterprise and education—a seven-day-aweek activity. It's an opportunity for a long-term relationship with business and supporters. " he added.
"We've got the ambition to maximise that and work with local people to maximise the benefits for everyone. You cannot underestimate the economic benefits and as Rotherham United progress through the leagues, we will have a football club that everybody in the town can not only be proud of, but participate in too."
This decision restores the belief in the future of the new iconic stadium in Rotherham. Details in the work that's got to be developed in the future to create a community stadium will now go full speed ahead."
