It's nice when that pays off - Joseph

Speaking to todays Advertiser, full back Mark Joseph looked back at his goal in last weekends win over Lincoln.
Joseph scored with a volley from a set piece taken straight off the training field.
"We work on free-kicks and set plays quite vigorously and it's good when it pays off. We work on moving their markers and creating space. I'm not usually one applying the finish but I found myself on the edge of the box and I saw the hand sign and knew that we were going to do it. It was a great ball in by Rossy and I was just happy to hit the target."
"I've tried it a few times and it does'nt always pay off. It depends on whose doing the delivering!"
It was an eventful game for the 31 year old after he was kicked by Lincoln's Mark Stallard in an off the ball incident, which saw the Lincoln man sent for an early bath.
"If he's stupid enough to kick me and the referee sees it then he's going to get sent off, He's been in the game long enough to know not to do things like that. Mark told the 'Tiser
"I just felt the impact. I didn't really see it. We had a thrown-in and Ian Sharps headed it behind me and the next thing I know, he kicked me." he added.
Meanwhile despite recent setbacks, Joseph was still aiming for automatic promotion; "We need to kick on, There's 12 matches left to turn our season around and we're still looking at a top-three finish, We have to push everyone as hard as we can. We've seen every team in the league now and we know we've got enough quality." he said.
