Mullins returned to the reserves this week ahead of schedule after being out with a cruciate knee ligament injury, he's now hoping to return to the first team when the Millers face Sheffield United in the JPT game next month.
"It's a gerat tie and I'm looking forward to that in the evening at Don Valley, I'm hoping the fans turn out."
"It's the game I'm definately towards, but I'm not going to put my name on the game as the gaffer might have other ideas but I feel like I'm getting close to being ready now." he added.
After 6 months out, Johnny was pleased to be playing again when he featured in this weeks reserve game; "It was just so good getting back out there", he told the Star.
"It’s been a lot of hard work and I’m so grateful to Denis Circuit for all he’s done and people who’ve helped me, And that goes for the wife too with what she’s had to put up with, The initial estimate was out until October so it’s great being ahead of schedule and great tribute to the work that’s been put in with me."
“Yes, I was a bit nervous beforehand but I just wanted to get out there, get that first header, get that first challenge in. I was blowing a bit but the other lads were great and helped me through it,” he added
