33yr old Joseph is out of contract at the end of the season, and is fighting to gain a new one. Joseph told The Star:
"My contract is up at the end of the season so it is important for me to get back involved in the first-team squad.
"I am desperate to earn a new a new contract and stay at the club but I have to make sure I keep playing in a winning reserve team and if I get a chance to impress in the first team, I have to take it.
"You don't really want people to get injured or to lose some form to get your chance but I am just waiting for an opening. Hopefully I will be involved in the squad sooner rather than later."
Joseph has been suffering with a groin injury over the last few weeks, however he did play in the reserves match against Huddersfield town last night, after having an injection to ease the problem.
I was advised to have an injection to take some of the swelling down and it seems to have worked quite well," said Joseph. "I feel like the injection has eased the problem and I am quite happy with the outcome.
"I had not played for three weeks so it was nice to get 90 minutes under my belt in the reserves.
"I would like to say that I am fit for selection so it is just up to the management staff who they pick in the team." .
The game against Huddersfield ended in a 2-0 home win with goals from Paul Warne and Ryan Taylor.
The match also saw trialist Gary Roberts given a run out. The 22yr old midfielder was released by Yeovil in September.
