Knill happy to take a point

The victory would have seen us jump above Yeovil and also stretch the safety cushion to four points going into tomorrow's tough trip to Swansea, but Knill can't really fault his players who gave everything.

Talking to the official site he expalined: "It was a good game and I thought we were the better team but ran out of legs a little towards the end. It shows the character of the side that we can perform as well as a side in second place and if anyone deserved to win it was us.

"It puts us two points clear of the drop zone but if it hadn't been for their second goal then we would have had all three - i'm sure he (Rankin) didn't mean to shoot but you can't moan too much about the offside flag being overuled.

"Our first goal came just at the right time after the interval. It was disappointing to concede a goal from a set play but responded brilliantly with a goal from Paul Shaw. When I made the substitution I wanted to make it tight for them across the middle so it added to the disappointment to be pegged level again.

"It's another point towards safety and we showed we can compete with the top teams. We have to take this into Swansea on Monday."
