"I do think one or two let him down. I think one or two in form earlier in the season have not performed so good of late, but let's hope this is a fresh start for all players."
"I don't know if anything was going off in the background with certain players, but we'll see now. They are all playing for contracts, whether with us or someone else, between now and the end of the season. If they don't perform then we won't want them and others won't either. That's the game we're in." he added.
Meanwhile, Caretaker boss Mark Robins was in mixed mood, "Alan worked tirelessly in trying to turn the fortunes round and I've come in in difficult circumstances because someone has lost their job."
