“It has been good, we have a fit squad and the most important thing is that we stay fit but at the moment I am quite happy. Pre-season should be concentrated round football and that is what we have been doing.
“We've had alot of new faces and I think they have all been settling in well together, although you never can tell. We need to gel as a team and we are also trying to everything we can off the field, I have in my mind what my starting team will be for the opening league game so I hope we don't pick up any injuries as we have a small squad.
Knill is keen to get his players ready for the clash at home to Brighton, who themselves are looking for a good start after being relegated from the Championship last season. He also knows he still needS to complete the final pieces of the jigsaw and added: “hopefully in the next week or so we will have another striker as we are a bit short upfront.”
