“I used a different starting line up as we are trying to get players match fit but you can't read too much into the starting teams at the moment although I have in my mind who will start against Brighton.” Knill hopes to get 90 minutes out of a few more of his squad at Blundell Park tonight and against Sheffield United at Millmoor this coming Friday.
Of his trialists, he explained: “By the end of this week we probably wont have as many trialists as we will have decided who we want to keep, I am hoping to strengthen but we have a reduced budget that will only stretch so far. “I would like another one in on a permanent basis and perhaps another one or two on loan as well.”
