This week Alf explained to the Advertiser he's looking for a different outcome this time round with the Millers, saying:
"It was a great day for fans and family and we took the lead as well but we couldn't hold on until half time. If we had done it would have been a different game but they managed to peg us back and it went from there."
"There was a horrible after-taste afterwards. You're inconsolable. You don't know what to say or think. It's all ifs and buts. We don't want to be like that. We want to be the ones cheering at the end."
"I want to have a promotion under my belt and make up for that."
"I only started 30 games a season whereas I wanted 46, which is what I'm getting here. I have been fully vindicated in my reasons to leave Rochdale."
"It's been a good move all round because I've scored 30 goals and they have been promoted playing good football."
"We've got a chance of going up too and we've just got to make sure we do it on Sunday. If that happens then it will have been an even better career move."
"If I get chances I know I'll score and even if I play higher up I still think I'll find enough space against higher quality defenders. It's just a case of getting quality balls into the box."
