Nottingham Forest continue to dominate the division, and managed to extend their lead at the top too. Their latest victims were Swansea City at the City Ground who slipped to a 3-1 defeat. That despite the fact that they took the lead in the 42nd minute through Fallon. Two quick strikes from Perch (54) and Commons (56) gave Forest the lead, while Agogo made safe the points in the 67th minute. Nottingham Forest 1st, Swansea City 12th.

Yeovil Town must be in their highest ever League position after their victory over Brentford at Griffin Park. The Somerset side took the lead through Skiverton in the 57th minute. A share of the points looked likely when Kuffour levelled, but Cohen had other ideas when he gave the visitors the 3-points in the 88th minute. Brentford 15th, Yeovil Town 2nd.

Bradford City took a valuable 3-points off Tranmere Rovers at Valley Parade. Strikes from Bower (54 mins) and Schumacher (71 mins) were enough to keep the points in Yorkshire. Bradford City 4th, Tranmere Rovers 5th.

Carlisle United came well and truely unstuck on their travels against Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road! Hawley gave the visitors the lead in the 24th minute - at this stage all looked well. Varney levelled just before the break and Lowe put the home side ahead on the stroke of half time. In the second half though, Lowe completed his hat trick in the 63rd and 90th minutes, while Lowe completed his brace with a strike in the 73rd minute! In the end Crewe ran out 5-1 winners! Crewe Alexandra 10th, Carlisle United 6th.

Scunthorpe United dented the undefeated start to O'Driscoll's managerial career at Doncaster Rovers. Scunny won the game through Keogh (54 mins) and Sharp (68 mins). Donny did win the yellow card count by 4 yellows to 1! Scunthorpe United 7th, Doncaster Rovers 19th.

Port Vale dented Northampton Towns recent undefeated run with a 2-0 win at Sixfields. The points were wrapped up by half time when Pilkington (12 mins) and Moore (32 mins) did enough to ensure that the points were heading back up the M1 and M6! Northampton Town 16th, Port Vale 8th.

Brighton & Hove Albion slipped at home against Chesterfield at Withdean. The Spirities took the lead in the 20th minute through Folan. Brighton levelled in the 54th minute, only to see Niven snatch the points with a 74th minute winner. Brighton & Hove Albion 18th, Chesterfield 11th.

Gillingham continued their inconsistent form with a 2-1 home win over Cheltenham Town at Priestfield. Jarvis gave the home side the lead in the 13th minute, which was cancelled out by McCann in the 28th minute. Bentley wrapped up the points with a strike on the stroke of half time. Gillingham 13th, Cheltenham Town 20th.

Huddersfield Town were made to battle at the Galpharm Stadium by AFC Bournemouth. Hayter gave the managerless south coast outfit the lead in the 10th minute. Taylor-Fletcher levelled in the 27th minute. Best restored the Cherries lead in the 48th minute, only to see Beckett secure a share of the points in the 69th minute. Huddersfield Town 17th, AFC Bournemouth 14th.

The bottom four kept it between themselves as Blackpool played Leyton Orient at Bloomfield Road. The Lancashire side ran out 3-0 winners as Morrell put the home side ahead in the 21st minute. The points were not safe until Hoolahan converted a penalty in the 82nd minute. Parker made sure with a strike in the 86th minute. Blackpool 21st, Leyton Orient 23rd. Of course we all know what happened at Millmoor yesterday so we'll not go into that too much!!....

Finally in this round up - Bristol City (3rd) and Oldham Athletic (9th) could only manage a 0-0 between them.
