The Millers have recently had their best run of results since September 2009 when under Ronnie Moore's stewardship.
The midfielder told the Advertiser today: “The fans are going to start getting carried away, saying we are going to win the Premier League and all that, but like I've said before this is going to take time and steadily we'll get it right and we're on course to do that.
“Everyone is switched on now and wanting to do it for the team. I'm not saying it was different before but I think it has just clicked. Having the manager back sharpens you up and it's a lot quieter when he's not around. He comes onto the sideline shouting and it just keeps you on your toes.
"Whether that's been the difference over the last four or five games I don't know, but obviously everyone will look to that and we have to take the positive that he is back.”
