With 3 teams already lost points, the Lincoln City chairman Steff Wright says that the Football League has to find an alternative to just points deductions as its leaving teams with nothing to play for.
"It is a shame to start the season with three clubs almost going to be fighting for the two relegation spots. The whole competition loses its integrity. You could have a situation half-way through where there are two clubs relegated and the season is over for teams in the lower half of the table that can't make the play-offs."he said.
"It is a very tough business making football stack up at League Two level and although I have got sympathy with affected clubs, there does need to be a better system to penalise them."
"My personal view is that if your are going to penalise a club 20 or 30 points and this puts them in a difficult position then just relegate them -because then at least League Two will have that competitive element and the fear of relegation back."
Lincoln of course had worries if their opening game against us would take place due to the late transfer of the Millers golden share in the football league, Wright calls for that situation not to happen again; "If, for whatever reason, a club in administration is unable to sort themselves out, you could bring in a Conference club, The matter should be sorted before the fixture list is published."
