The majority of City's squad have taken a pay cut ahead of the new season, so Robins moved quickly to snap up the Nottingham born midfielder as he returned to his parent club.
Law netted three times in 32 starts with the Bantams including a goal against the Millers last season, and scored in his only senior start for the Blades almost two years ago. His sigining is seen as a direct replacement for the departing Mark Hudson who turned down a new contract offer last week.
Nicky is the son of the former Millers defender of the same name.
