The six footer was born in Oldham and has spent the last two and a half years at Edgley Park after starting as a Latics trainee.
He applies himself as a defensive minded midfield player.
He explained to themillers.co.uk: "I don't see it as stepping down a division as this club is moving forward and I want to be a part of that.
"I have been to Don Valley for a look around and it's impressive, the pitch is in excellent condition so it looks like a good home until the club moves into it's new stadium."
