As covered earlier this week on our forum, Coakley, who previously left to join Sheffield United, has arrived back at the club and is also appointed to the clubs Board of Directors along with Chief Operating Officer Douglas.
“It gives me immense satisfaction to return to the club and see how much we have progressed in a short space of time,” said Steve to themillers.co.uk.
"I am delighted to be reacquainted with everybody connected with the club, fellow directors, work colleagues, fans and sponsors alike. Needless to say our plan is clear - to continue to grow and build on what has been started and I for one am delighted to be back on board and looking forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead for all of us.”
Mr Douglas said: “Firstly, I am delighted to welcome Steve back to the club and we are all looking forward to working with him again. I am also very honoured to have been formally appointed to the Board of Directors, alongside my role as Chief Operating Officer.
"The club has changed dramatically during my seven years here, and we are currently experiencing a new era of success both on and off the pitch and I am looking forward to an ambitious future with Rotherham United."
