Speaking to todays Rotherham Star, Millers vice-chairman Dino Maccio said: "It is a health and safety issue and we have been told that the roof, which has asbestos that has to be removed, needs replacing, The entire work is going to come to around £70,000 and if it isn't done then we can't use that stand next season."
"It is a blow and it isn't something we had budgeted for and now we have got to find that money. We have to get on with it and do it. We could have done without this because we are striving to build this club back up. The last thing we want is something like this." Maccio added.
However, fans have a couple of questions about this and if the Millmoor Lane roof has asbestos, then surely the Tivoli End has, and in even more quantitys, so how can we carry on using that?
