Evans said after the game that the club would appeal the defenders dismissal for kicking out at Tom Pope in the 2-0 defeat, but told Millersplayer this morning they will take it on the chin.
He explained: "Vale was disappointing. Claude's was never a red card but he shouldn't be getting involved. We have taken professional advice from a senior referee who says that because Claude doesn't move away, we wouldn't win any appeal."
The Millers camp has been struck down by suspensions and sickness once again, and ahead of Coventry's visit tomorrow the gaffer added: "We've still got a 24-48 hour sickness bug that smashed Lee Frecklington and affected others but we'll be strong and there's no pre-match excuses.
"We'll assess everyone this afternoon in training before a night in a hotel. Coventry are a good club and I feel for their fans. The team have been excellent this season."
