Millers managerial hotseat cooling

Last updated : 14 September 2009 By Deano
With Chairman Tony Stewart away on a working holiday and the club receiving a host of applications for the post left by Mark Robins' departure to Barnsley, the sift is set to continue long into the middle of next week.

Names this weekend doing the rounds continue to involve Steve Coppell, Paul Jewell who was slashed to favourite with some bookmakers, and fans favourite Ronnie Moore.

It's believed Moore is unlikely to be considered for the role, so MillersMAD understands, despite expressing early interest of a return to the club he led to back to back promotions from 1999 - 2001.

Coppell of course could be well out of the Millers budget, but after quitting Reading in the summer could be seeking a fresh challenge up North.
