The Advertiser today informs that of the 1,500 weekly numbers available for the weekly draw, around 900 are taken up at the moment and officials are keen to make up the shortfall.
All profits will go towards the youth development programme and supporting efforts to eventually convert the club's Centre of Excellence into an Academy, enabling the club to attract the best youngsters.
Chief operating officer Paul Douglas said: "Our youth programme is very important and without it the heart and soul of the club would disappear.
"Nothing gives us greater pleasure than seeing one of our own coming through and getting into the first team. Stephen Brogan, Ryan Taylor and Jamie Green have all done it lately and Grant Darley and Oliver Banks are two of our latest prospects.
"We are very proud of what we do—some clubs just go to exit trials to find young talent but there's a commitment here to youth development and Mayday is an important part of that.
"Making up the subscription shortfall would have a significant impact on the club's finances."
Douglas added: "Mayday really does help and it would be great if we could get more fans to support it."
