Millers turn down Williamson bid..

Les Payne reports that it is understood that Rovers have made 2 bids, the first was a player exchange deal, Paul Green and Ricky Ravenhill in exchange for Williamson, that deal was refused.
Speaking to todays Star, Millers boss Alan Knill said, They offered two players and no money but then came back with another offer and just one player. But this was below the valuation we have of Lee. We don't want him to leave but it is understandable a player of his quality will attract attention.
The second deal was rumoured to be Ricky Ravenhill plus £100,000.
Millers Chairman Dennis Coleman slapped a £1m price tag on Williamson's head shortly after taking control at Millmoor, however it seems unlikely that Donny will be going for that, with Dave Penney saying, "If someone of real quality becomes available, then we are interested, but we have our own valuation of players and we are not prepared to pay over the odds."
Rovers are however expected to come back with an offer of £100k, Ricky Ravenhill, a bag of pegs and a free tarmacing job of your choice in the near future.. ;-)
Norwich are also alleged to be intrested in Williamson.
