The 37 year old striker has been released by the Blades, and yet again the Millers have been linked with a move for the goalscorer, with boss Matt Taylor admitting that he is on the radar.
He's a player we have admired. I think people will put two and two together because of the location situation. He's a player who has had success and is relatively local."
"If our recruitment team carry on down the lines they have been doing then conversations might develop with a number of players, If that includes Billy Sharp then so be it." Taylor told the advertiser.
But, speaking to the Sheffield Star, Sharp is not in any hurry to secure a deal for the upcoming season.
"The question I’ve had a thousand times is: ‘Are you signing for these or these?’ I honestly don’t know, If I did and something was concrete I’d be open and say something."
"Hopefully in the next few weeks I’ll be sorted and I can concentrate on the next step of my career. I still want to play football."
"Pulling on a different shirt will be weird and so will going back to watch United at Bramall Lane. The only time I’ve watched games from the stand over the last eight years has been when I was suspended or injured or not in the squad."
