The Millers went down 2-1 in a game cut 10 minutes short due to floodlight failure, but the boss was happy with the nights work against a Championship outfit.
Moore told themillers.co.uk: "It was a fantastic workout. Once we got to grips with the game we created some good chances which was nice to see, so I was very pleased. The system that Leicester play makes it difficult, they like to push the full-backs forward but we had some good chances ourselves.
"Danny (Harrison) has broke through twice in the second half and on another day he scores. All the new lads have acquitted themselves well so that was pleasing, it's just a shame that the game ended a little prematurely when the lights went out."
Moore added his praise for Elliott and the partnership on the hnight with Adam Le Fondre, who netted from the spot in the fist half, concluding: "Sometimes it can work out like it did tonight. Tom is still raw, he is only 19, but he has bags of pace which you saw in the build up to the penalty, that is something we didn't see last year."
