Moore hoping for open game

The Millers last defeat in the league was down in Essex back in October by a single goal, but the performance that day was poor and Moore is out to settle the score.

The gaffer is also hoping a more attack minded approach from the visitors may pave the way for his side to create a few chances themselves after scoring five in the last home game against Port Vale..

Speaking to Radio Sheffield, he said: "I'd just like to show Paul Sturrock that we are a decent side, though I'm sure that he realises that now.

"We owe them one and hopefully we can put that right on Saturday. It's actually difficult now winning your home games because teams come and play different systems with a lot of teams playing four-five-one and it's down to the home team to try and break that down.

"You need some quality players and patience to break down a four-five-one. I don't think Southend will come here and have a pop at us, though I hope they do because that would open it up for us and give us a chance.

"The lad Grant who I had on loan at Oldham has scored a lot of goals but if we're committed like we have been in our last few homes games then we are a better team than Southend but we've got to go and prove it and I'm sure we'll do that."
