With every game now having a little extra spice against teams that are either fighting the drop or aiming for promotion, defender Craig Morgan says The Millers have promotion in thier own hands.
“We’ve got some massive games ahead now and it’s all in our hands. It’s fair to say that our run-in is one of the hardest, either against sides going for promotion or against others fighting relegation. It’s going to be difficult but we know that on our day we can beat anyone." the 27 year old said.
“We’ve still got to put a really long stretch of form together and if we can do it now it’s a great time. With Bradford also winning on Tuesday it emphasised how important beating Exeter was. People are going to look at that result against a side with one of the best away records in the league and take notice."
“We were chuffed in the changing room because we felt we were unlucky on Saturday. We deserved something from that one. The early goal on Tuesday boosted the fans and gave us the confidence."
"Had we done that at Morecambe we’d probably have gone on and achieved a similar scoreline. We got really on top of them and even though they had a lot of possession in the second half it didn’t hurt us too much. It was a good professional performance from us. They weren’t scared to commit men forward when they were four down. They could have gone on and conceded eight on another day if it had gone wrong for them. But we kept a good shape and held them out.”
Asked if the Millers can go on and take an automatic promotion spot; “Definitely, We’ll be the first ones to say that, ideally, it’s not gone how we wanted this year but if we put our run together now then we’re up.” he said.
