After securing the services of two loanees yesterday and extending Lee Frecklington's loan, manager Steve Evans has been given another boost with Morgan committing his future to the club.
“It's really good news for us,” Evans told the Advertiser. “Frecklington had Stevenage, Crawley, Tranmere, Gillingham and Chesterfield all after him and it is testament to what we are doing here that he wants to stay with us. His football and his contentment are important to him.
“The same goes for Craig Morgan in that lots of clubs were after him but he wants to play for us and that's the type of player that we need.”
Morgan, who was out of contract in January, is currently out of action until Christmas with a broken bone in his shin but his excellent form prior to that means he is a valued addition to the squad.
