Morgan fractured his leg in the 4-2 win over Cheltenham back in November while he was only on a short term contract with the Millers.
But his performances during that spell led gaffer Steve Evans to offer him a 18 month deal, talking to the Tiser, Morgan thanks Evans for putting faith in him despite injury worries.
“I was in contract negotiations beforehand and it probably didn't help me, but credit to the club. They didn't have to give me the contract because I got injured before I signed it. Although I might not have got the terms I wanted, I give full credit to the chairman for still giving me a contract when other people might have just said no, you're injured. I'm thankful for that.” Craig told the 'Tiser
“It was a full spiral fracture of the leg, I tried to carry on, that's in my nature, but I knew I had a big problem at the time. It's been a tricky one and I've had a couple of problems with it along the way. It wasn't ideal, I thought I would be back a lot quicker but at the end of the day I did break my leg."
“It was frustrating because I was doing well and really enjoying my football, it was probably up there with the best form I had showed for years. I'm just glad to be back involved now. There is a bit of trauma still in there but slowly I'm getting back into it.”
Given the teams recent form, Morgan doesnt expect to walk back into the starting 11; “I think the lads who have been playing have done well so I'll sit patiently and get myself as fit as I can because I have only been back full training for two weeks.” he said.
