Commercial manager Tony Styles told todays Advertiser; "The move might not be favoured by traditionalists but football clubs are not cheap to run these days and we need to look at ways of increasing income. We see this more as an investment issue rather than a selling issue. We really want to give our sponsors something back for their money."
"All the three stands are camera-facing, increasing exposure, and companies would have their names printed on the stand tickets." he added.
Commercial director Gary Hall bulled up the clubs current basic but useful facilities, especially the main stand marquee which has been extended and is available for use for members of the main stand.
Telling the 'Tiser, Gary Hall said: "People still think of it as a tent but it really is a fantastic facility and we get nothing but good comments from the people who use it—and I include people who are regulars at Championship grounds in that. The atmosphere is good and ALL the players come up to meet the sponsors after games."
"We need to generate extra income and we need local businesses behind us, but we don't expect something for nothing. If Wrexham can sell out all their sponsorships, so can we, and we want to do that by giving something back." he added.
Anybody interested in sponsoring the Millers in any way, or attending the sponsors' night on December 6, is welcome to ring Tony in the commercial department on 01709 512760.
