Millers boss Ronnie Moore admitted he has "made enquiries" to bring Naylor to Millmoor on loan, but Wanderers were not prepared to let Naylor leave Molineux before the hectic Christmas schedule.
Moore could make another attempt to sign the 22-year-old after the Christmas programme.
