Cheshire based insurance and financial advisers Brilliant Advice Group have spoke to the administrator with the intention of purchasing the business and its trading subsidiaries.
Brilliant Group md 33 year old Darren Williams, grew up in Brecks and have supported the club for over 20 years. He currently lives in Alderley Edge amongst the premiership 'star' but has kept his support for his hometown club who he has also sponsored in the past.
Speaking in a statement to the Advertiser, Williams said: "The potential acquisition of Rotherham United is significant for the Brilliant Group. This is a further material step change for our business."
"We aim to greatly enhance the club's capabilities and to provide a solid platform from which to build. The proposed consideration would be financed through the Group's reserves with no debt requirement to complete the transaction."
"We would also plan to invest an initial £250,000 of working capital which would be invested in part to enhance the squad. The proposed acquisition would also extend our client base and marketing opportunities. The group remains active with our expansion plans and we look forward to the next phase of our development."
