MillersMad intend to provide a separate facility for fans to post their New Stadium ideas and opinions and for debate on such matters. Deano, Bigrich and Redduke will observe the ideas and opinions posted and we hope fans will respect that facility by reserving it for ideas or debate on ground issues only. It is necessary to give fans the opportunity to put their opinions forward in ways which do not rely on internet access. We will be speaking to the Club about such an opportunity being available at our last home game against Crewe on 1st May.
Millers Trust have a meeting with Tony Stewart on Thursday 15 April 2010 at which a progress report on the new stadium is expected, enquiries will be made about future Season Ticket Policy and the possibility of loyalty schemes. Tony is aware that the Working Party has been set up and that we have identified some of the issues we want to discuss with him. It is likely that at the Trust Meeting on 15 April a first meeting between the Working Party and Tony Stewart will be targeted for the 3 week period after 15 April.
At the first meeting with Tony Stewart the Working Party will ask Tony for a timetable dealing with when particular subject areas can be discussed. Tony Stewart will obviously have his own advisors on the project and his own ideas. We are realistic enough to realise that there are likely to be some issues that we may not be able to influence. However, Tony Stewart is very keen to consider fans' views and we think consultation with us will be an important part of the whole project.
At this stage we have identified and allocated the following issues amongst ourselves on the basis that we have chosen the ones we are individually most interested in :
Deano : Designated areas and matchday atmosphere, message board
Big Rich : message board
Dukey - message board
Tony Styles : Acoustics and sound systems, Seating.
Bob Booth : Food and Catering
Joanne Archer : Seating
Mark Thomas : Seating ; Working Party Co-ordinator / Administration
Lee Rowbotham : Brick Scheme or Honours Board for previous brick contributors
Bob Tyas : next generation of fans
Each member of the Working Party will effectively manage the canvassing and collection of fan opinion in their own subject area.
This release should, hopefully, be published in the public local media this weekend and then we can get the ball rolling. Thanks for reading folks.
