The handover date for the ground is now July 16th, just 5 days before the Millers first ever game there where Barnsley make the trip.
However speaking to Radio Sheffield, the Millers Cheif Operating Officer say's that the ground will be ready to open for Football, but some backgroud work will continue.
"We're on course, in terms of some of the administrative staff moving in, that may be put back a little but its nothing thats going to be affecting the fundamental process of allowing us to play games."
"Some of the work on the flood alleviation and the diverted waterways will still be going on around the site so it won't be the finished article when we play our first friendly, but it certainly won't be anything that affects materially our ability to play those games." Douglas added.
