With the Millers winning promotion to League 1 last season, expectations are high that Steve Evans can emulate Ronnie Moore and take the Millers to the Championship with back to back promotions.
But despite all the chairmans ambitions of see his club mix it with the bigger boys, he's not giving the manager any pressure to take us up this season.
"Steve is not under pressure to take us up. I have had more discussions with this manager than the last three combined. We talk on a daily basis. He tells me what he’s thinking and I tell him what I am thinking." Tony told the Star.
“We are not looking for an impossibility. We want to compete as much as we possibly can do in League One. This is the most organised we have ever been going into a new season. It is a lovely feeling. I feel smug but I am not complacent.
“Our preparation has been superb and we have now got to go out and prove it in a higher division. We are not going into the league just to hang around and make up the numbers. We want to be in the top 10 positions striving for as high as we can get.” he added
