No suprise as Sedgy leaves.

Although the rumours had been circulating for a week, today it was confirmed that Chris Sedgwick has joined Championship rivals Preston North End after a late challenge from Stoke City.

Sedgy had been with the club for 10 years, joining the youth system aged just 14, and had looked a great prospect since.

The club are also losing thier top scorer! Sedgy has scored 4 goals this season, overall he scored 20 goals for the Millers in 273 appearences for the club.

Boss Ronnie Moore is upset about losing Sedgy, but understands the financial difficulties, "I don't want to lose him but the financial constraints are such that the fee will probably pay the wages to the end of the season.
