Non League star set to sign?

The 20 year old striker has recently been on trial at Millmoor and played 60 minutes for the reserves in their 4-0 win over Scunthorpe which saw the Millers reserves win the Pontins League title.

Cahill is Matlock's leading scorer, with 14 goals since joining the Gladiators last September and would command a fee.

Matlock's joint manager Phil Brown told the Matlock Mercury; "Mark Robins contacted us saying they would like to take Tom on, and to be fair there's been a number of clubs showing interest in him."

"But Rotherham have shown a keen interest in him and we need to sit down and see what's in Tom's best interests and Matlock Town's.
