The Department of Health and Social Care are using the Millers home to test key workers for Coronavirus and as such the club are appealing to supporters to keep away from the ground as tests are on an appointment basis only.
Speaking to the clubs official website, themillers.co.uk chairman Tony Stewart said; ”We feel privileged to be providing a venue for the DoHSC to carry out important testing on essential workers from Rotherham and beyond,”
“We are delighted to be helping to facilitate tests for those people who put themselves at risk every day to provide a number of services that we would struggle to cope without. "
"The club has been active in the community in a whole host of different ways since the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak and we saw this as another opportunity to be able to offer our support during the pandemic."
“On behalf of everyone here at Rotherham United, I would once again like to thank all those people in key worker roles and also the DoHSC, who are working hard in the fight against Coronavirus."
