Goalkeepers:
Robert Burch. Date of Birth: 08/10/1983. Height: 6' 2"
Last season's 'Away Player of the Season' Robert's career started at Tottenham Hotspur in 2002, a couple appearances on the bench was the nearest he got to a first team appearance. He was loaned out to both Woking and Stevenage Borough to gain first team experience. In a Reserve League South game in 2006 he sustained a broken leg which put him out of action for some time. After being released from his contract with Spurs he joined Sheffield Wednesday, and played a couple of games for the owls, but was released at the end of the 2007/08 season. Lincoln beat a host of other clubs for his signature, and he has been ever present between the sticks since Peter Jackson signed him.
Paul Musselwhite. Date of Birth: 22/12/1968 Height: 6' 2"
As well as acting as number two, Paul is also goalkeeping coach and with over 700 first class appearances to his name, brings a wealth of experience to the coaching team at Sincil Bank. Former Clubs, Scunthorpe, Port Vale, Portsmouth, Kettering Town, and Hull City.
Defenders:
Janos Kovacs. Date of Birth: 11/09/1985 Height: 6' 4"
Last season's 'Home Player of the Season A former Hungarian U21 international, Janos joined the Imps from Chesterfield July 2008. He had joined Chesterfield from Budapest side MTK Hungária in 2005. He was signed by Peter Jackson's after a Football League tribunal decided a fee of £17,500 with a 20% sell clause. He missed only one game last season through suspension.
Adam Watts. Date of Birth: 04/03/1988 Height: 6' 2
Watts was new Imps boss Chris Sutton's first signing at the start of October, initially for a month. The 21-year-old, who has yet to make a first-team appearance for Fulham agreed a permanent deal with the Imps which is set to run until the summer of 2012, on New Year's Day, after spending four years with the Cottagers.
Nathan Baker. Date of Birth: 23/04/1991 Height: 6'2''
Nathan is on loan from Aston Villa. He was a regular in the Villa reserves who have won the Premier league Reserves title two years on the running , At 6' 3" he is strong in the air and also confident on the ball. Barker is a doubt for the game. (Ankle injury)
Moses Swaibu. Date of Birth: 09/ 05/ 1989 Height: 6'2''
Last season's "Young Player of the Season" Moses was signed by Peter Jackson in January 2009, after being released by Crystal Palace. A product of Palaces academy, he was restricted to just one first team call up at Selhurst Park, that being an unused substitute.
Daniel Hone. Date of Birth: 15/09/1989 Height: 6' 4"
Daniel is a former captain of the U18s and a regular in the reserves, having impressed he forced his way into the first team, and signed a professional contract that will run until the summer of 2010. The 2008/09 season ended somewhat abruptly for Danny, however, as a knee ligament injury sustained in a match at Rochdale in January forced him to undergo surgery. Although he returned to the squad towards the end of the season, he was forced to settle for a place on the substitute's bench. Danny's 97th minute header grasped a crucial point at rock-bottom Darlington, in the Imps last game.
Cian Hughton. Date of Birth: 25/01/1989
The son of former Spurs defender Chris Hughton, Cian had a brief trial with Charlton Athletic towards the end of the 2008/09 season. Hughton signed a six-month contract with the Imps prior to the start of the 2009/10 season following a successful trial spell at Sincil Bank. He can play either side of the defence, and has made 14 appearances this season.
Joe Anderson. Date of Birth: 13/10/1989
Anderson began his career as a youth player at Fulham before he was promoted to the reserve team. Anderson made his first team debut for Fulham on 23 September 2009 in a 2-1 League Cup defeat at Eastlands against Manchester City, coming on as a replacement for Zoltán Gera. In January Anderson joined Lincoln City on a permanent deal with the Imps that will run until the summer of 2011.
Paul Green. Date of Birth: 15/04/1987 Height: 5' 8"
Paul was signed in 2007 from Aston Villa, and prior to the start of the 2008/09 season signed a one-year extension to his contract, tying him to the Imps until the summer of 2010. A versatile defender, Paul has however suffered with injuries over the last 12 months, and is in doubt for Saturday's match with him being given a 50/50 chance of being available.
Midfielders:
Michael Gordon. Date of Birth: 11/10/1984 Height: 5' 6"
Gordon's football career began as an apprentice at Arsenal. He signed for Wimbledon in 2002 and made a total of 19 league appearances. Gordon later played non-league football for a number of clubs including, Havant & Waterlooville, Aldershot Town, Crawley Town, Sutton United, AFC Wimbledon,Harrow Borough, Hemel Hempstead Town and Northwood. He has made two appearances, including the 0-0 draw with Grimsby Town on Saturday.
Shane Clarke. Date of Birth: 07/11/1987 Height: 6' 0"
Clarke is a product of the Club's Centre of Excellence, signing his first professional contract in the summer of 2006. He signed a new contract in the summer of 2007; his Football League debut arrived in a 2-0 win at Rochdale on January 5th 2008. Clarke is now a regular in the first 11, a steady and dependable player, who never lets the team down.
Stefan Oakes. Date of Birth: 06/09/1978 Height: 5' 11
Stefan began his career at home-town team Leicester City and was part of the Foxes' League Cup winning side in 2000. He moved to Notts County in February 2004, and spent 18 months at Meadow Lane, scoring five times from his 45 appearances. Oakes then moved to Wycombe on a two-year deal which was extended by another year in 2007. After his move to Sincil Bank he failed to hold down a regular place in the starting line-up due to Injuries. He tends to shine against the better teams when the space and pace are more to his liking.
Richard Butcher. Date of Birth: 22/01/1981 Height: 6' 0"
A fans' favourite from two previous spells with the Imps, Richard penned a two-year-deal at Sincil Bank in the summer of 2009 following his release by Notts County. At Notts County scored 17 goals from his 64 appearances, before being released this summer. A box-to-box midfielder, who started his career with his hometown club Northampton Town and also played for Rushden & Diamonds, was County's top scorer and second top scorer in his two years at Meadow Lane. Butcher has gone on a month's loan to Macclesfield Town, after The Imps had offered Butcher a deal to leave the club, which the player is believed to have rejected.
Chris Herd. Date of Birth: 04/04/1989 Height: 5' 8"
Herd signed for Aston Villa from Australian club Bayswater City SC in February 2005. In January 2008, Herd signed on a one month loan deal (subsequently extended) for Port Vale. After returning from Vale Park, Herd then signed a one month loan deal with Wycombe Wanderers in March 2008. On the 27th November 2009, Aston Villa allowed Herd to join League two side Lincoln City on loan until the new year, this was later extended to the end of the season.
Brian Gilmour. Date of Birth: 08/05/1987 Height: 5'6''
Gilmour began his career with Rangers. However, he did not make a first-team appearance for the club and in February 2007 he signed for First Division side Clyde. Gilmour moved to fellow First Division side Queen of the South in July 2007. Brian signed for Lincoln City on 27 November 2009 until the end of the season.
Clark Keltie. Date of Birth: 31/08/1983 Height: 5' 11"
Keltie started his career with Walker Central before joining Darlington in 2001. He spent eight years with Darlington until he was released by manager Dave Penney because financial pressures meant his contract was not extended. He moved to fellow League Two club Rochdale. In his second season with Rochdale, Keltie was loaned to Chester City and Gateshead. He was released by Rochdale on 24 December 2009, and joined the Imps in January 2010 on a deal which will run until the end of the season.
Scott Kerr. Date of Birth: 11/12/1981 Height: 5' 9
Scott is the current Club captain at Sincil Bank is now in his fifth season at Sincil Bank, having joined the Imps in the summer of 2005 from Scarborough. Scott started out as a youth at Bradford City, progressing to appear in the Premiership with the Bantams', before moving to Hull City, and then on to Scarborough in 2001/02. Scott moved to Sincil Bank in the 2005/06 season, going onto be made captain ahead of the start of the 2007/08 campaign. The 2008/09 season proved to be his best with him collecting the 'Player of the Season' trophy as voted for by the supporters.
Strikers:
Christy Fagan. Date of Birth: 11/05/1989 Height: Unknown
An Irish U21 international striker was released at the end of the 2007/08 season by Manchester United. After his release he joined up with the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain having impressed during the Academy's initial trials. City beat off the challenge from a number of clubs in Spain and the rest of Europe to secure his services on a two-year deal in the summer of 2009.
MillersMAD One to Watch
Lenell John-Lewis. Date of Birth: 17/05/1989 Height: 5' 10
John-Lewis had a trial for Middlesbrough prior to joining the Imps in the summer of 2006 after a spell with Grantham Town. His first Football League goal came along two weeks later at Stockport County and it wasn't long before he put pen-to-paper on a professional contract that will run until the summer of 2010. Has great pace and strength for his age and has the ability to turn a game.
Paul Connor. Date of Birth: 12/01/1979 Height: 6' 2"
Paul was signed by Middlesbrough straight after he left school. He went on loan to Stoke in 2001, and after Borough released him at the end of the season Stoke signed him up. In 2001 he moved to Rochdale, who paid a club record fee of £150,000 to take him to Spotland. With the end of his contract looming Connor was sold just before transfer deadline day in March 2004 for just £35,000 to Swansea City F.C. forging effective partnerships with both Lee Trundle and Kevin Nugent. In January 2006, he had fallen down the pecking order at Swansea, and so the Leyton Orient manager, Martin Ling, signed him for £40,000. On January 15, 2007, he signed for Cheltenham Town for an initial fee £20,000. After a trial with the Imps in the summer of 2009 he joined the club on a one year deal.
Steven Lennon. Date of Birth: 20/01/1988 Height: 5' 7"
Lennon signed on loan from Glasgow Rangers on Feb 1st until the end of the season; Lennon started off his career as a midfielder but has changed to a striker in the last year or so. Lennon became known as a prolific goal scorer, scoring numerous goals for Rangers' under-19s, and scored a hat-trick in Rangers' 5-0 defeat of rivals Celtic in the Scottish Youth Cup final on April 26, 2007.
